Privacy Policy

Baby Atlas Care helps parents keep baby care records organized, share records within a family, create reminders and view simple charts. The app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment guidance or risk assessment.

Data we may collect

• Account data: email address, display name, user ID and language preference.
• Family access data: family ID, invite code, membership status, roles and approvals.
• Baby profile: name, birth date, sex and gestational week if entered by the user.
• Care records: feeding, sleep, diaper, vaccine, medicine, temperature, appointment, notes and development observations.
• Growth records: height/length, weight, head circumference, BMI and record date.
• Reminder data: reminder title, date, time, status and local notification information.
• Technical records: creation, update and deletion timestamps, editor identifiers and audit logs.

The app has no photo, video, media, gallery or memories module and does not collect those data types.

How we use data

We use data to operate the account, provide role-based family sharing, store parent-entered records, show charts, create reminders, protect security, prevent abuse, respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

Firebase and third-party services

The release version will use Google Firebase for authentication and database services. Firebase Authentication enables email/password sign-in. Cloud Firestore stores parent-entered records. Local device notifications or Firebase/Expo notification infrastructure may be used for reminders. Technical processing data may be handled through Google infrastructure for these services.

Sharing

We do not sell your data for advertising. Records are shared only with family members invited to the same family and approved by the owner, according to their assigned role. Service providers process data only to operate the app. Limited disclosure may occur when required by law, competent authority request or security protection.

Health-related records and medical boundary

The app may store health-related records, but it does not interpret them. Growth charts, vaccine lists and reminders are only for record keeping and visualization. The app does not produce “normal”, “risk”, “warning”, diagnosis or treatment conclusions. Consult a healthcare professional for health decisions.

Security

When Firebase is enabled, data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Firestore security rules are configured for family membership and role-based access control. No system can guarantee absolute security; protect your password and share invite codes only with people you trust.

Retention and deletion

Data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. In the app, open Profile and family > Privacy and data to permanently delete all local app data. This removes family, baby, record, measurement, reminder and local account data from this device and cannot be undone. In the Firebase release, the same flow will be expanded to server-side account and family data. Some limited technical records may be retained where required by law or security needs.

Children's privacy

The app is designed for parents or legal caregivers, not for direct use by babies or children. Baby profiles and care records are created and managed by the parent or caregiver.

International processing

Because Firebase and related cloud infrastructure may be used, data may be processed on servers outside your country. Appropriate safeguards and provider agreements are used for such processing.

Changes

This policy may be updated when app features, Firebase configuration or legal requirements change. Important changes will be communicated through the app or website.
