This privacy policy explains how the Lumi app ("app") collects, uses, and protects your personal data. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
Lumi processes the following types of data: (1) App activity — mood selections, favorited messages, notification times, and the latest saved notification. (2) Device or other identifiers — the Google AdMob advertising SDK may read your device's Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID) for the purpose of serving personalized or non-personalized ads. This information is processed locally on your device and used for ad delivery decisions.
Collected data is used to show personalized inspiration, schedule notifications, preserve the app experience, and manage in-app advertising. Your data is never sold to third parties under any circumstances.
The app displays ads through Google AdMob for users on the free plan. AdMob may collect device identifiers (including the Advertising ID) to measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and improve ad quality. This data is subject to Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. No ads are shown to users with a premium subscription.
Lumi connects to an AI provider through its own backend service to generate inspiration messages. The API key is not embedded in the mobile app and is kept only on the server side. Only the minimum data required for content generation is sent to the AI service.
Premium subscription purchases are processed through the Google Play Billing infrastructure. Lumi does not store your payment details; this information is handled directly by Google.
Mood history, favorites, and notification settings are stored locally on the device. On Android devices that support the backup feature, this data may be backed up and restored via Google Drive.
All communication with our servers is encrypted over HTTPS. Requests sent to the backend are protected by a signature verification mechanism. No personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.) is collected.
Lumi is not designed for children under the age of 13. The app's target audience is general adult users. If you become aware that a child under 13 has shared personal data, please contact us.
Lumi does not sell or rent user data for advertising or marketing purposes. Data may only be shared with third-party SDKs strictly necessary for operating the service (Google AdMob, Google Play Billing).
You can delete local data by uninstalling the app from your device. To reset your Advertising ID or disable personalized ads, go to Android Settings → Google → Ads.
This privacy policy may be updated as needed. Significant changes will be announced on the app store listing. The current policy is always available on this page.
